About Dr. Don Brown
Dr. Brown graduated from Rutgers University in 1971 with a degree in History and graduated with honors (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) from New York University College of Dentistry in 1975.
After graduation, Dr. Brown completed a one year General Practice Residency at US Air Force Hospital, Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois followed by a three year tour of duty at Zweibrucken Air Base Germany.
After returning to the U.S., Dr. Brown entered private practice in 1979 working for a dentist friend in Creedmoor North Carolina. and subsequently opening his Raleigh in 1980. Dr Brown felt a strong pull to the western U.S. and in 1998 left to develop practices in California and Colorado before returning to his home state of North Carolina to be closer to his children and grandchildren and rediscover what a wonderful combination of people and places we have. Dr. Brown was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1986 and has enjoyed studying with some of the great teachers in dentistry, most notably Dr. Peter Dawson at the Center of Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Brown formerly served on the Board of the Adaptive Sports Center in Crested Butte, Colorado and encourages everyone to go to www.adaptivesports.org to learn about this wonderful group of athletes and perhaps offer assistance.
Dr Brown and his wife Missy, spend summers enjoying the lake with family and friends, on horseback and winters skiing and snowshoeing.
Dr. Brown and Missy are blessed with a wonderful family, three children, their spouses and families and three lovely grandchildren. “They are and always will be our focus, our strength, our joy.”

Dr. Brown currently runs two private practices, Monroe, North Carolina, and Wilmington, NC where he provides complete family, cosmetic, restorative, implant and sedation dentistry.
